Basketball Strength, Agility and Skill Development
Dates: Mondays/Wednesdays: June 24, 26...July 1, 8, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, 31st ....August 7th, 9th

Age: Athletes going into 7th/8th/9th grade

These session will meet 12 times from late June to early August. Each session will feature 45 minutes of age appropriate strength and agility training coupled with one hour of on court basketball skill development. The strength component of the sessions will feature athletes completing body weight exercises such as push ups, pull ups, lunges, etc; work with resistance bands in a variety of exercises to develop overall strength; and an introduction to basic weight training staples such as: squats, dead lifts, bench press, etc. Agility portions of the course will feature work with jump ropes, footwork agility drills, jumping and plyometric exercises and other methods to develop overall speed and quickness. The basketball development portions will focus heavily on fundamental skills of ball handling, shooting and passing as well as incorporate some live play in 3 on 3 and 4 on 4 settings.
